  • What does the FacesofLyme Address Book do?
Your FacesofLyme Address Book allows you to add friend's emails addresses quickly and easily to your Ecards, Invites, Voting Ecards, and Recommendations. Your address book is fully editable, so you can add or remove a friend's contact information at any time. You can also import your email addresses from Yahoo, Outlook and Outlook Express.
 
  • How many contacts can be stored in my Address Book?
Your FacesofLyme Address Book can store unlimited contacts.
 
  • How do I get to the Manage Address Book area?
Log in and click on "About Me" to go to your Private Profile Pages. Click on "My Account" and then click on "Go To Your Address Book".
 
  • How can I Add or Delete contacts to my Address Book?
To add a contact in the Address Book:
  • Log in and click on "About Me" to go to your Private Profile Pages;
  • Click on "My Account" and then click on "Go To Your Address Book";
  • In the window that opens, add the names and email addresses of the recipients in the box on the left hand side of the window;
  • To save the contact in your Address Book, click on the "Add To Address Book" button.
  • You can also import contacts by clicking on "Import Contacts" and follow the directions on screen or below.
To delete a contact in the Address Book:
  • Select the check box next to the contact you would like to delete and click on "Delete Friend's Address";
  • To delete more than one contact at a time, select the link "Check All" or select the checkbox next to "Email" in the header column and all of the email addresses on the screen will be selected. Click on "Delete Friend's Address".
 
  • How can I sort the contacts in my Address Book?
In your address book you can sort alphabetically by email address, first name or last name.
To sort alphabetically by email address you have two options:
  • Click on the word "Email" in the header column.
  • Click on the letter from A to Z you would like to view:
To sort alphabetically by First Name, click on the word "First Name" in the header column.
To sort alphabetically by Last Name, click on the word "Last Name" in the header column.
 
  • How do I import my address book?
In your Manage Address Book pages in your Account area and throughout the site you will see a button that says, Open Address Book. Click on this button and then click on Import Contacts.
 
  • How do I import my address book from Yahoo?
Once you have gotten to your Address Book as described above, click on Import Contacts and do the following:
  • Under Step 1: Choose Your Email Client, Click on Yahoo and follow the directions as shown below:
  • From your Yahoo! mail account, choose the "Addresses" tab;
  • Click on the "Import/Export" link. Scroll down to the "Export" section;
  • Under Export, click the Export Now button next to Yahoo CSV;
  • When the dialog box appears, choose to save the file. Click "OK" and select a name and location for your exported file;
  • Your file will be saved on your computer. (note what folder you saved it in and what name you saved it as);

  • How do I import my address book from Outlook?
Once you have gotten to your Address Book as described above, click on Import Contacts and do the following:
  • Under Step 1: Choose Your Email Client, Click on Microsoft Outlook and follow the directions as shown below:
  • Open Outlook. From the File menu, choose Import and Export;
  • Choose Export to a file, and click Next;
  • Choose Comma Separated Values for Windows and click Next;
  • Choose Contact folder and click Next;
  • Click Browse and Name the file and choose a location where the file will be saved;
  • Click Next;
  • Click Finish.
 
  • How do I import my address book from Outlook Express?
Once you have gotten to your Address Book as described above, click on Import Contacts and do the following:
  • Under Step 1: Choose Your Email Client, Click on Microsoft Outlook Express and follow the directions as shown below:
  • Open Outlook Express;
  • From the menu, click on File and choose Export. Select Address Book;
  • For type choose Text (Comma Separated Values);
  • Click the Export button;
  • Name the file and choose a location where the file will be saved;
  • Click the Next button and check the fields you want to export (select all boxes);
  • Click Finish.
 
  • Why are there duplicates in my address book? How do I eliminate them?
FacesofLyme has been designed to synchronize your contacts without creating duplicates. So the short answer is that FacesofLyme should not be creating duplicates in your address book. But if you are seeing duplicates, you can do the following to delete these contacts:
  • Log in and go to your Private Profile Pages (click on About Me);
  • Click on My Account;
  • Click on Go To Your Address Book;
  • Click on the word Email. This will alphabetize your email addresses;
  • Click on Check all to delete all email addresses showing on screen or select checkbox of the email address you would like to delete;
  • Click on the button, Delete Friend's Address
 
  • Can I insert multiple addresses to Invites and Ecards from my Address Book?
Yes, you can. To insert multiple addresses in the 'Recipient's Details' box, select the number of addresses you would like to insert in the drop down box next to "Number of Recipients". You can select up to 20 recipients at a time. We have restricted the number of emails you can send out to 20 in order to discourage spam.
 
  • What are your policies about spam?
We take violations of spamming very seriously. Our terms of service state: You may not use this Site to send online Ecards, Invites, Voting Ecards, or Recommendations to mailing lists to which you do not have full rights or to send unsolicited bulk or commercial messages. In addition, the use of automated scripting-type programs that automate the process of sending or viewing any of the Materials is strictly prohibited. FacesofLyme reserves the right to limit, in its sole discretion and without prior notice to you, the number of cards or messages that you may send using the Site or the number of recipients to which you send such cards or messages. In addition FacesofLyme may suspend your membership for spamming violations. If you feel you have received spam or are getting excessive emails from a FacesofLyme member, please go to the your profile page and click on the link, "Is there anything inappropriate on this Profile page? Tell FacesofLyme" at the bottom of the left hand column and let us know. You can also email us at info@FacesofLyme.com and forward the email you have received.
