Email Notification Answers

  • What is FacesofLyme Email Notification?
FacesofLyme Email notification is a popular feature that sends users an email whenever communication occurs betweens users on the site. FacesofLyme emails notifies you that someone posted a response to your question, sent you a compliment, a private message, an ecard, recommended a Business or product, or requested to join your fan club.
 
  • How do I know if I received communication from a FacesofLyme user?
When you have received a new message from a FacesofLyme user, you will receive an email notification (unless you select not to receive emails in your Account Settings) and you'll see a notification in your Inbox on your Custom Home Page. On your home page, click on one of the following:
  • You have # Private Messages
  • You have # greetings
  • You have # Fan Club Requests
  • You have # Responses to Your Questions
You will be taken to your In Box page and be able to then manage your communication.
 
  • What happens when I communicate with another user on FacesofLyme?
On FacesofLyme when you communicate with a user your message goes into his or her Inbox. There will be a notification on that person's Custom Home Page and they will receive an email notification (unless they selected not to receive emails in their Account Settings).
 
  • How do I change the email address where I receive email notifications?
You can change your email address from your Account Page. Log In and click on About Me. Click on the tab, My Account and go to Manage Your Email. Click on #2 or Manage My Email Preferences and change your email address. This new email address will be your new user name when you log in and will also be the address we use to send FacesofLyme notifications.
 
  • What do I do if I am not receiving email notifications?
Please make sure you have checked the box on your Manage Your Email Page in the My Account tab that says: Immediately - Send me an email each time I receive a compliment, a private message, a request to join my fan club, and for a Business, Lyme disease product or video recommendations.
Make sure that you check your SPAM folder as a number of email providers automatically tag these emails as SPAM. To receive all FacesofLyme email invitations, add the FacesofLyme.com domain to your list of safe senders. (specifically add info@FacesofLyme email as a safe address)
If you are still not receiving emails from FacesofLyme, please contact your ISP (Internet Service Provider) to ensure that they are not blocking email traffic coming from FacesofLyme.
If you've completed all steps above, please click here and send an email to FacesofLyme letting us know you are having email problems.
 
  • How do I stop receiving email notifications?
To stop all email notifications click on About Me and you will be taken to your Private Profile Section (you must be logged in), click on My Account Tab. Then click on Manage Email, and Manage Email Preferences. Here you will see a number of options to manage your FacesofLyme communications. To stop receiving communication from other users at FacesofLyme, click on the checkbox next to the following:
  • Do not send me emails when I receive a compliment, a private message, requests to join my fan club, or for Business and product recommendations.
  • Do not send me E-Cards.
  • Do not send me any emails about LymeTalk conversations.
 
  • How do I unsubscribe from/subscribe to your newsletters?
To receive the FacesofLyme newsletter, go to your Private Profile Page and click on "My Account". Click on "Manage Your Email" and then click on "Manage Email Preferences". Click on the check box next to: Send me FacesofLyme updates and newsletter and click on UpDate. If you do not want to receive the FacesofLyme Newsletter make sure this box is not selected. As a member of FacesofLyme you will still receive emails that are important to the functioning of the site.
 
  • I keep communicating with a user on FacesofLyme but they never reply?
The user may not reply because they may have selected the option in their Account Section to not receive any communication from users on FacesofLyme. If someone chooses to no longer receive communication from users at FacesofLyme, they will have no way of knowing if you sent a message.
 
  • I got an email asking for my FacesofLyme password.
Don't respond to this email! FacesofLyme will never request your password.
